Accounts Receivable Accountant
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Boyle Heights)
Onsite: Monday-Friday
Compensation: $27-$31/hr
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

A well-established wholesale and distribution company is seeking an Accounts Receivable Accountant to join its accounting team. This is a hands-on role that will focus primarily on accounts receivable, collections, and daily operational accounting support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage approximately 75 customer accounts and oversee the full accounts receivable process
  • Conduct collections and maintain consistent follow-up with customers to ensure timely payment
  • Verify deposits and ensure shipping invoices are processed accurately
  • Handle credit memos, price adjustments, damaged goods claims, and payment variances
  • Reconcile account discrepancies and maintain accurate customer account records
  • Support daily accounting operations and assist with administrative tasks as needed
  • Process incoming mail and coordinate documentation with external accounting partners

Qualifications

  • Accounts Receivable experience required
  • Experience within wholesale, distribution, manufacturing, or CPG environments preferred
  • QuickBooks experience required
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills
  • Some accounts payable experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of reconciliations
  • Comfortable working directly with business owners and senior customer contacts
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
